JONATHAN C. STEVENS INTERVIEW COMPILATION

"COLLAGE OF A CITY" PHOTOGRAPHY & POETRY EXHIBIT

Writer/Director Jonathan C. Stevens has been building a city and statewide collaboration between various social and cultural enclaves that will culminate in the feature film The Merrimack and a series of three documentaries entitled Collage of a City that will take viewers on a journey through the past and present in Lowell.

A public reception for the photography and poetry exhibit was held Saturday, Oct. 28th at the Eliot Presbyterian Church Library Gallery, 273 Summer St.

As part of this project, Framingham State University film student and Aloysius Productions intern Raysam Donkoh-Halm has photographed nearly 70 people from the Lowell community. This Collage of a City exhibition features 11 of those portraits, as well as more than a dozen behind-the-scenes photos. Poetry and photos by Jonathan C. Stevens are also featured in this exhibit.

The Collage of a City documentaries feature interviews with more than 300 people, including politicians, business owners, people living on the streets, artists, musicians, gang members and Lowellians from all walks of life. Mayor Edward Kennedy, U.S. Rep. Niki Tsongas, state Sen. Eileen Donoghue, former Gov. Michael Dukakis, state Rep. Rady Mom, famed boxers Micky Ward and Dicky Eklund, and Sal Lupoli of Lupoli Companies are some of the notables interviewed.
